Mary Sumner House, home to Mothers' Union - an international Christian membership charity - was opened on 21 July 1925 by HRH the Princess Mary Viscountess Lascelles, and was built from the donations of members and friends of Mothers' Union throughout the world.

Mary Sumner House is a Grade-II listed building in the heart of Westminster, offering nine meeting rooms, ranging in size from six people in a boardroom layout up to 120 people in a theatre-style layout.

We have been fortunate to use Mothers’ Union’s conference room facilities on a number of occasions. Amenities of this size, quality and cost are so very difficult to come by.

Disabled Access

Mary Sumner House offers assisted wheelchair access (Access Category 2) and access for delegates with mobility issues (Access Category 3) by way of the following:

- Ramp from street level into the building
- Lift* to access Lower Ground, Ground, 1st & 2nd Floors for meeting rooms and disabled access toilet on the 4th Floor
- Stair lift for wheelchair users to access the Conference Hall in the Lower Ground
- Disabled access toilet in the Ladies Toilets on the 2nd Floor
- Unisex disabled access toilet on the 4th Floor

Doorway is 75cm wide

Catering

We offer tea/coffee/biscuits/water in our smaller rooms, but not in the Conference Hall. Please contact us at: conference@mothersunion.org to discuss your refreshment requirements.
